My pump went bad so I ordered a new one. I got the thing installed and went to plug it in and the plug would not fit. The place where the plug fits into has a molded plug holder that has 2 grooves on the bottom and one groove on the top left. The new pump has 2 grooves on the bottom and a top groove on the right so the plug will not fit. The plug would fit except for the piece that fits in the groove in the top of the plug holder. My question is would it be OK th clip off the piece of the plug that will not allow it to fit into the plug holder?
All the vitals listed on the pump are the same: 120 Vac 60 Hz-1A 70W-CL.F int. duty:15 min. ON/45min. OFF These are the same on both pumps
OLD PUMP: 461970201671 Art.294020 Mod.: M75
NEW PUMP: 461970228512 294044()2 180707 Mod.: M75

This is a new style pump to go with the new style duet. Clip off the extra plastic on the top of the plug and you will be fine. Had this same situation two days ago.

I was able to buy the pump only (without housing) on ********, saved $50. Final price was about $55 with expedited shipping, ******** seller 'salesexport'. Plug fit w/o any clipping too.
