There is a high pitched noise that only goes away if the main door is open. Once we close it, the noise comes back until we open it again.

Thanks for any repair suggestions.

That noise is coming from your motherboard in the back. Pull the refrigerator out, and on the back of the refrigerator, there is a panel, and behind that panel is the motherboard. Quick, and easy repair. Tom ApplianceEducator.com - Parts

Am I ordering a new motherboard; or is there a different part to fix it?

If so, what part do I order?

Thanks for your help.

Hi mbender812,

I have exactly the same problem you have now.
Did you order the motherboard? Did it fix the problem?
Is yes, what is the part#?

Thanks!
