Hi all - glad I found this forum. Basically we have a microwave. Someone cooked something which caught fire. The microwave is okay and it works, but there was a plastic part on the ceiling of the microwave (on the inside) which melted and fell off. It looks like a plastic piece that covered a duct. Is there any chance I could find a replacement part for it? Its one of these microwaves which is installed over the stove, so its kind of expensive to replace the whole microwave.
Some information:
Model number etc: Whirlpool "microwave hood combination", model MH1141XM
Here are three images of the interior of the microwave:
This is a closeup of where the plastic part went:

Thanks!

Looks like the part you are looking for is the inlet cover (#1 on the diagram). You have to order the nail and bushing to install the cover. Also I would recommend to clean the old paint with a sand paper and paint it using a microwave touch up paint.

- The inlet cover Part number: AP3179868
Part number: AP3179868

- The nail and bushing kit Part number: AP3132154
Part number: AP3132154

- The microwave cavity paint Part number: AP4352777
Part number: AP4352777

gene, thanks so much for the details. (By the way the full part number here is mh1141XMQ-0). I ordered the cover inlet. The screw and bushing are "out of stock", i'm hunting for alternate sources for that now.
