It just stopped heating. The lights, clock, turntable and fan all work. Before I pay for a service call ($84, plus labor and parts), I want to determine if the repair bill will outweigh replacment.

The problem can be a bad magnetron or a bad control board. You have to have a simple mulktimeter in order to perform the troubleshooting yourself. Let us know when you ready.
