Motor windings burned out.
Replaced motor.
spins ok.
will not agitate.
with motor removed agitates freely by hand.
with motor disconnected mechanically, starts in spin cycle but not in agitation.
In agitation, motor will run if hand started.
water level signal cuts off fill at proper levels.
Please Help. Thanks.

I am not completely clear on what the motor is doing. If what you are saying is that the motor shaft will turn in a counterclock wise direction whne the machine is on agitate only if you start it going, then I think your replacement motor is bad.

If you purchased a remanufactured model it is likely it was not repaired correctly. I would return it to the seller and ask for a replacement.

what if it just won't aggitate? it spins, fills, empties, but just won't agitate every time. Sometimes it does?!?!

In that case it sounds like a wiring problem with the wires between the timer and the motor. Check them for a short or frayed spot.
