Ice cutter wire- replaced upper set (broken wire). ice still lays on upper wire
not cutting. what current reading should I get at cutter plug- Does transformer control heating? what else could cause cutter not to cut?

You should have approximately 5 ohms resistance across the cutter grid wire circuit and 8.5 volts coming from the transformer to heat up the cubelet grid....
