I need a new turntable motor for my Sharp microwave. Here is the specs on the one that is installed.

SM16 FY26M2H3 p/n RMOTDA252WRZZ, superceded by RMOTDA264WRZZ
120V, 60Hz, 3 RPM, 2.1W

I've found an exact p/n replacement for $26, but there is one on ebay that has similar specs. Here are the details.

ST16 KX63MPAQ p/n RMOTDA211WREO
120V, 60Hz, 3 RPM, 2 W

My thinking is as long as the shaft matches up with my turntable and the wattage is at or less than the original, then I should be okay right?

Gene:

My turntable doesn't work. It tries to turn but won't and makes a strange noise. I override it by turning it off, but do I need to replace the motor? Is is something I can do?

Thank you for your help.
