The turn table motor for this model number is shown on the break down diagram as #30 (#F30 in the parts list). Frigidaire part number 5304408980 for this motor is Appliance Parts Pros part number AP2151259. Instead of this very expensive part you can use the same motor, made by GE, which cost much less. The part number is AP2024962 Gene.

Looking at the inside were the piece that turns the iplate s it looks like it has a half round drive from the motor. Hi Bob, The part description for the turntable motor (#43 on the diagram) says it has "D" shaped shaft. A square shaft used for the stirrer motor which you probably do not need. Before you order the motor I would recommend to check the coupler (#40). It can be broken or cracked. You have to remove the glass tray and pull up the coupler. If the motor is bad then you have to remove the bottom panel to access it. - The part number for the turntable motor is AP2024962 - The part number for the coupler is AP3155937Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for GE RVM1435BD001 | AppliancePartsPros.comGene.

Hi Gene thanks for the quick response it looks like it's the motor I removed the coupler it's OK but microwave still has the same growling noise and turns slow I'm going to unplug the motor and see if the noise goes away. You were right about the motor shaft I clicked on the wrong part number. I'll order the motor after I check it unpluged. Thanks Again B ob W

Gene. Sorry for the year between posts, I tried the new coupler and it didn't work, should I try the motor? Thanks, Scott

My 2002 Frigidaire Gallery microwave works fine except the turntable quit working about 4 years ago. As I recall, the unit was very quiet but now it makes such a grinding noise I cannot hear my favorite NASCAR race - it is that loud!
I checked the TT button and it is "on." Is there a belt broken or gear stripped? How do I get to the "guts" and replace the culprit?
I really don't care if the turntable works, but if we could eliminate the noise I could use my hearing aid again on the low setting! :D
Is this an easy fix? Is it a reasonable priced item? Or, do I take the unit out to the garage to heat my coffee and buy a new unit for the kitchen?
TIA Denny
