While roasting a Duck last night the control panel went completely blank. The oven was on at the time and did not shut off. However the temperature control was lost since the panel went blank. The oven burner was on and the only way to get it off was to shut the gas off to the unit and let it cool down.
We have been able to use the stovetop without any problems and the electric ignitors work.
I was looking at the parts listing on the whirlpool web site and noticed a
P/N 8523000 Jumper w/Fuse. Could this be the problem? Can I check it easily without taking the oven too far apart? If the fuse is good what else should I check.

Thanks for any help.

I checked the power at the plug and it was good so I went to check the power to the various circuits. When I plugged the oven back in the screen came back and everything works just fine.
Thanks for the help
Don't know why it shut off but at least it is working now.
