Dryer Runs Only if Start Button Held Down, But No Heat

I have a 3 year old Kenmore Elite front loading gas dryer (model 110.74972300) that spins only if the start button is held down, but doesn't heat up at all. So, we can hold the start button down for a long time, the dryer spins, but doesn't heat up at all. I replaced the motor relay and the heat relay, but this didn't help at all. A relative thinks it may be the electronic control assembly. Any thoughts?
I also had a lot of trouble opening up access to the electronic components. There has got to be a better way than bending the metal on the back of the dryer.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Stephen, The problem with your dryer caused by the control board. In order to open the control panel, using a putty knife, you have to push in the clip (#34 on the break down diagram) on each side of the control panel, pull it toward yourself and lift it up. - The part number for the control board is AP4319168 Gene.

Thanks a lot. I very much appreciate the advice. And, yes, you were right. I got a new control panel, put it in and the dryer is working just fine now.
