My dryer recently started to make a high pitch squeal when you turn it on and then after about 10 minutes automatically shuts off. Then when you open it smells like an electrical burn.

Then when you open it smells like an electrical burn. You'll need to remove the front panel and take a look at the motor and blower area. Make sure there isn't something in the blower. You can also try and tell if the odor is coming from the motor. If after it cools down it will than start back up it very well be the motor. If you provide a complete model # we can try and get you a parts breakdown for the unit.
