Ok ...... I am about to loose all patience! We have had nothing but problems with this Stove/Oven. First of all, if I am cooking on the front 2 burners, and decide to also cook on the back burner, it heats up the panel and starts beeping and flashing F7 and going crazy ........ until it cools down, so basically, I can only cook on 2 burners at a time! We had called the repair man a few times to come check it out (while it was under warranty), to no avail!
NOW ........ the oven is not working (only the broil works), and the repair man says we need a new computer and he will check on the price! URGH! Of course, it is no longer under warranty as of February ........ someone help! Has this happened to anyone? Is there a recall on this dumb stove ??
Sincerely ~ wannabake !!

The problem with your top rear burners is probably due to a poor design and there is not much what can be done. Try to use a smaller size aluminum cookware. Regarding the oven problem you have to check for 120 VAC to the Bake burner while the control calls for Bake. If there is proper voltage then the Bake igniter is the culprit. If the voltage reading is wrong then post the results and we'll proceed with further diagnostics. - The Bake igniter Part number: AP2020569

Hi Gene ~ thanks for your input. We did have an appliance guy come check it out ~ and he said we need a new "computer system" for our stove. He also referred to it as "the clock" and the "ERC", or Electronic Range Control. I spoke with GE and they are willing to ship me the parts, and we will just have to pay for the service. I asked my guy for the part number and he's not returning the call ......... Not sure why .......... but is there any chance you can give me that number so I can get those part(s) ordered?? To refresh your memory, our model number is Model# JGB920SEF2SS and Serial # TG219815P
Is there another part that could be replaced so that the top panel wouldn't "freak out" when I have something on the back burner? I'd like to get all parts necessary replaced at the same time.
Thanks again for your time! gina

In the first post you mentioned two problems: rear top burners and Bake for the oven. I'm wandering which problem has to be fixed with the new ERC? - The ERC Part number: AP3778818

Hi Gene ~ It sounded like he was thinking the whole over isn't working because of the ERC .......... is the ERC the whole computer for the Oven??
He has been kind of a flake and not returning my call ......... I think I might be calling another repair guy.
