Hi

for some reason the unit keeps tripping the outlet and never did before. i've tried different outlets that are stand alones with the same results.

it trips without even turning on?

any help?

Does it trip the breaker immediately when plugged in, or does it work a few minutes/seconds, before tripping?

Sounds like some kind of internal short. Start at the power cord...Is there continuity between the two blades? Between any of the blades and the ground pin?

Hi,

I took off the housing and the cord looks fine. Not totally sure what you mean by continuity btwn the blades means, but i think its fine?

Checked connections etc, plugged it in and again tripped the gfci before i even could turn it on.

no, but i might be able ot get one, what do you want me to test...?

i've plugged in into different outlets all with the same result

In order to solve your problem, you need to get a meter. It doesn't need to be a fancy or expensive one. You just need to have a way to check for continuity. That means an unbroken pathway for electricity to follow. Your breakers are tripping because either there is a short (unplanned unbroken pathway) between the two blades in your power cord, or between one of the blades and the ground (which is represented by the chassis of your appliance. Don't plug it in again until the problem is found and corrected.
