My dryer started acting up about a month ago by taking too long to dry the clothes. Now if you turn it on, it just makes a noise acts like it is going to start but soon cuts off. Spins slow like it's trying to go.I have taken the back off and checked everything i could.I also took top off and checked belt it was still in tact. You can spin the dryer by hand and I can see the belt on pully. Not sure want else it could be.

Hi Barry

Try turning the drum with the door open while a friend presses the start button and holds in the door switch. If it starts you motor will need to be replaced.

If not, it can still be the motor, or the start switch or the timer. If you need more info please post the results of what you do and your full model number.

Good luck.
