Even though oven is older (been in storage), been in use for nine months..after self clean, the interior light doesn't work..with door switch and manual switch. Also the indicator light for locked door remains on. Wall mount so not fun to pull out! Thanks

No, the oven door isn't locked...just the locked light is illuminated.

Turn off the power to the oven for a few minutes.
Push and hold the light switch on the door while starting the self clean.
Keep holding the light switch, wait for a minute and push the cancel button.
If it would not help, then I need the complete model number of the unit.
Good luck. Gene.

Thanks Gene, Not sure about turning off the power to oven. You mean at the breaker? Or unplug? A few minutes before trying the "hold" procedure? I have a funny feeling the self clean fried our light source! Hate using a flashlight to see what's cookin'

Hi Gene...want to continue trying to fix the light. So we're on the same page, see if this is right. Turn off the oven for a few minutes (breaker box?) Turn power back on and while holding the light switch button on the door, set the self-cleaning into action (even with the door ajar and not locked) Then push the cancel button for a minute or less? Release the door light switch button, and turn off cleaning cycle
Sound right? Kenmore model#4438994 SerialXA4902599 Thanks again

Good luck. Gene. Do not release the light switch until the self clean has been canceled. The model number you provided is incomplete. Best regards. Gene.

Tried to reach you this am...forum was down. To get this straight, see if this is right: Turn power off to oven (breaker?) Turn power back on With door ajar, hold light switch on while setting the cleaning function Before function quits (stop time had to be set), push cancel button while still holding the switch in Turn off the cleaning controls, release the light switch Hope that something happens
Kenmore Self-Cleaning Model#4438994 Serial XA4902599 There's a 665 in front of the model # Made in the nineties, but never used
