The dishwasher just started this. As far as I can tell the cycles complete but there is soap left in the dishwasher & the dishes aren't clean. I suspect not enough water but need help on figuring this out.

What is the level of water in the dishwasher? Can you hear the pump working during the wash cycle?

Gene, thank you for the reply. I put the dw on normal cycle & it puts a couple of inches of water in the bottom of the tub. I hear what I think is the pump but the sprayers never move - the dw then goes through a drain cycle & in a bit it puts more water in the tub, again the sprayers do not move & then it drains again. I think what I hear is the pump, at least during the drain cycle, but I am not certain how to tell. I was going to look at the parts area to see if there is a belt that may be the issue but I didn't think I saw one before. Any Help!! will be appreciated

Gene, many thanks already. The service manual will be a big help. I haven't added water yet but reading the service manual makes me think the water level is ok, BUT I will try tomorrow & post the answer. Again, many thanks for the service manual. BTW I kind of figured there were no belts and the parts site helped with that as well. danb_1

Gene, I added water to almost the level of the heating element which I had turned off. It sounds like the pump is working & it drains but the sprayers never move. Is that a big clue? Thanks in advance for your help.

Looks like you have to disassemble the pump and check the impellers and the motor.

Gene. Gene, We have the same problem exactly- pumps water in, pumps water out- does not spray. Impellar is free of debris, purchased and installed new motor/pump- not the fix. Door latch is fine. Water level is fine, float works. Once filled with water it clicks 3-4 times, doesn't advance to the next cycle and turns off. Water is left in bottom and you have to hit cancel to pump the water out. ANY IDEAS..PLEASE? We so appreciate your comments and advice. Shell btw- model # JDB1080AWS Jenn Air Dishwasher

Gene. Gene, My husband states the current is fine. Both motors are working, just not spraying water. It does suck it out at the end and it does fill it in the beginning. What do you reccomend checking next?
