Technician Brian, you are my last hope for help on my repair. I paid to become a member of one forum and then posted on a second and I still need help. This washer is only two years old. The symptom is the clothes come out too wet for dryer. You can do a manual spin with this machine at 1000RPM, then the clothes can be put in the dryer. I was able to get a service manual that would apply to my machine (does not say my model number on manual), but was told it does apply to my machine. I checked the pump sump that is accessible from front of machine - no problems there. I checked the flow of the discharge line - strong flow out of unit. I pulled the trouble codes as the manual described - Results are E:20 - spinning aborted due to unbalanced load; d:08 - motor speed sensor failed; d:10 - power limiter switch off. The unit failed the P:04 test - machine would not follow the test procedure for the low speed testing and turning CCW and CW for the times it stated. Unit did do the 1000RPM at the end of the test properly. Whenever I scrolled through the trouble codes the unit would skip the following every time: jumps from E:24 to d:08, then skips d:09, then skips d:11-d:18. I am leaning toward the motor control board and/or the motor speed sensor. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, GG

I'm thinking that Technician Brian, who seems like a really good guy has not seen your post.
I suggest you post on Appliancejunk Forum and put Technician Brian in the title and see if you can reach him there.
Good luck.

Hi Gergrff
It's not personal, it's just that you have a brand that few of us have seen or worked on and so we do not have experience with your problem. Give us a basic Whirlpool/Kenmore and we can diagnose and repair all day long.
I think your initial thoughts of a speed control board are good, just because this and the CCU are the weak spots on any computer controlled machine, but unfortunately I think you are going to have to replace them one at a time or both together to get a repair, which I know is going to be expensive. I would go first with the speed control board as your machine seems to be operating on the other cycles ok. Tech Brian probably knows the answers but as I said, he has probably not seen your posts.
Anyway, if you try that let us know how it turns out.
Good luck, sorry we could not be of greater help.

Hi Gergrff
I see you reached Technician Brian on another Forum. Good.
Since that Forum, Technician Brian and I also recommended you replace the motor board, and since a lot of folks have followed your posting can you post your results on this Forum if you decide to change out the board?
Thanks
