Hi I have a Kenmore microwave oven (Part #911.414.85994)that is part of a regular oven/microwave built-in unit (Part #911.41489992). The turntable stopped working and the microwave no longer heats. I can't find a wiring diagram for the unit so I don't know if the turntable motor and heating problem are connected, or if it's the magnetron. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Larry

Hi Larry,

You have to have a simple multimeter to diagnose the problem.

Remove the microwave from the oven body. Remove the microwave outer case. The tech sheet should be inside.

Check the door switches for continuity with the door closed and opened.

If there is nothing wrong then the problem most likely is a bad control board.

- The door switch Part number: AP2024337
Part number: AP2024337

- The microwave control board Part number: AP3202740
Part number: AP3202740

This job, especially removing the microwave from the oven cabinet, is not very simple. If you do not feel yourself comfortable, it's better to hire a professional to do it for you.

Gene.

Thank you for your help Gene. I have a multimeter and the exploded view of the cabinet so I will give it a shot!

Thanks again,
Larry
