Where do the lock washers and cushion washers go that comes in a tub bearing repair kit?

To install the bearing you must remove the tub and bolts hold on the tub in. The cushion washer goes between the bracket and the tub and the lock washer goes after the flat washer (not included in the kit) and the nut.

Thanks for the answer. I wondered if that might be where they went but there was four of each in the kit and that threw me.

I replaced the tub bearing and mounting stem seal with the replacement kits and it still leaks. Are there any unknown steps that I could have missed. I used step by step instructions from the internet. There is a rust spot next to the hole the tub bearing goes in. I wonder if water is leaking there.

It is very possible that is the problem but I would go back and make sure the seal is pressed down good and the little rubber boot is also all the way down. I would say the rust spot is the cause but double check.

Thanks Applianceman for the advice. I will take the tub back out and make sure everything is pressed down tight.
