Okay
So I ordered a replacement bake unit element for model JBP77GV3AA, GE electic stove. Got the part today. The invoice identify the part from AppliancePartsPros.com as WB44x5082.
I removed the broken part and replaced. I noticed there were 2 black wires and 1 yellow wire.
I used the two black wires but frankly did not know where the yellow terminal came from or what it is for.
Do I have the wrong

Quote:So is everyone sure I was sold the right heating element The element you stated IS the correct replacement for your model, yes. Quote:the overn heats. BUT THE OVEN DOES NOT HEAT UP ENOUGH TO COOK ANYTHING. Do the oven elements heat and also when they heat to they get RED HOT when on? Quote:do I need to take it apart again and see of there is a connection/reconnection problem. If the element is not even getting warm, probably. If the element is only getting warm but not RED, possibly. Quote:Or, are we talking about some other problems. That's a possibility as well. When the element failed it could have damaged the control system or even the wiring to it. JMO Dan O. www.Appliance411.com The Appliance Information Site=D~~~~~~
