Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 7/7/2009(UTC) Posts: 3		I have a Frigidaire Professional Gallary Series over the range Microwave, model #FMT118EPB\W. While popping a bag of popcorn, I heard a boom or loud pop sound from the microwave and all power was lost to the microwave. No other power was lost in my house. I checked the circuit breakers and none were tripped. A few months prior to this event, I noticed that the light on the microwave over the range had begun to dim. Until the boom event, I had no other problems with the microwave. There is no power at all with the microwave. Nothing works on it. Is this a simple problem or do I need to replace the microwave?

You need a fairly good (doesn't need to be expensive) multi meter. Plus you will have to follow very strict safety rules. There are thousands of volts in some of the components, and ignorance will cause severe injury or death. If you're sensible and capable, let's start.
