Our Maytag Model A212 washing machine is not advancing properly through the wash cycles. 1/3 of the time it washes correctly through the regular wash, rinse, spin cycles. Otherwise, it will keep advancing through the regular, permanent press, delicate cycles and not stop. Also, when it does stop at whatever point it wants to, it is usually half full of water.

How do I know which timer to order? There seems to be A LOT of them to choose from for this model? Would the existing timer in the washer have a number on it I could use?
