My ice maker quit working and I just want to verify some things before I purchase a complete ice maker assy. I took the cover off and found that the fill tube was frozen. I melted the ice with a hair dryer, took the unit out and completely cleared it of ice and reinstalled it. When I close the flapper door on the left the blinking LED goes 'solid'. From what I've read on the forum, this means I need a complete unit. Is this correct or is there more troubleshooting I should do before making this assumption? Could the water valve be the cause since the fill valve was frozen?
