Purchased last year and a few months after I noticed the metal hinge had broken the plastic frame. had to hold lid down until it wood lock. Just spent $300. on one . does any one know any adjustments I can do to take a little bit of tension off the hinge when I put the new glass lid on to avoid this from happening again? MayTag should do something to change this design sooner rather than later!

Bought the washer in 11/2019, about 18 months old and lid cracked. Installed a new lid, about 18 months old and it is now cracking at the left side hinge. NEVER buy a Maytag appliance!

They did not repair it but did charge for the visit. If anyone knows how to repair it please let me know how.
