Hi Everyone,

I have a KitchenAid KUDSO2FRSS1. Recently, it has started overheating. It runs a complete cycle, fills and drains fine, just runs way too hot. It melts plastic items that have been fine previously and plates are still quite hot hours and hours after a cycle. From what I have read so far, I am thinking the issue is the control board or control board and heating element. My heating element is visually fine.

I have found a part on this site when I go through the main search, the heating element kit # AP3841139. But when I put my model number in the compatibility tool on on the product page, it tells me it is not compatible.

Would anyone be able to let me know if I am both going in the right direction with my diagnosis of the problem and if this part will actually work in my dishwasher ?

Thank you
