Water will not fill unless selector is in between settings

Hello, I hope someone can help. My Kenmore washer will not fill unless the water level selector switch is held between the med and large setting.
Also, when setting the cycle selector, once you pull out the knob, the drum immediately starts to agitate.
Both of these symptoms lead me to the water level switch being bad or stuck. Is that the first thing I should check?
If yes, what is the easiest way to determine if it is bad, other than the symptoms above of course. LOL
Thanks!

Whirlpool W10337781 Switch-Wl - AppliancePartsPros.com Whirlpool changed this switch due to failures, and the new one comes with a hose, use it. All signs point to a bad switch and I'd change that pressure switch ASAP as it is the sole water level control for your washer. It can and will flood your house if it malfunctions in a bad way. If it is satisfied the timer is powered and agitation begins. If it is dry agitating at any point (other than a specific test spot at end of wash cycle on dial) there is really little else it could be. There is a much less likely possibility but it's worth checking - You can check the hose that connects to it by blowing into the hose, if you can't hear air exit down below into the tub it is clogged and that is your issue. The console flips back by releasing the metal clips at the corners with a putty knife of similar object. That'll give you access to the switch end of the hose. You can access the bottom end of the hose by leaning the machine back or removing the cabinet.

Thanks for the confirmation, I will get that switch and hopefully will take care of it. I will post back once I swap if it is a fix or not.
