Hello. We own a Whirlpool WTW5310SQ0 washing machine. It has a load selector switch. When the load size is set on "Super", during the rinse cycle the timer stops moving and water seems to keep entering and exiting the machine at the same rate as it does not overflow. Any ideas? Thank you, Redlyne

Possibility #1 It is very likely your drain hose is not high enough.
The drain hose has to loop up and then down into the drain and the top of the loop has to be higher than the top of the tub. If not the water will begin to siphon out as it reaches the level of the drain hose.
This would prevent the tub from filling completely and also prevent the timer from advancing.

To Member BROBRIFFIN: Sir, you are a genius. No other adjective will suffice. Your suggestion that I raise the height of the drain hose absolutely and completely solved my problem. While I don't understand why, not being a repairman, I do know that it was the solution I needed. I am grateful beyond words and want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts. All best wishes, Redlyne
