MAH9700AWM have error tE on and won't start

"tE" error code is caused by a faulty thermistor on the heating element; likey cause is: a. Loose wiring at the control panel (directly behind the cycle selector knob) b. Broken wire at the thermistor (located at the bottom/front of the tub) c. faulty thermistor it should have a reading of 13k ohms at room temp (70 deg. f)
