My maytag will not fill with either hot or cold. The water fill valve is good (hot wired the solenoids direct to 120VAC and it fills fine). It spins and pumps out fine. Where do I go from here?

I've seen many issues with units like this. The temp switch that is also the water level sensor likely is bad. Whirlpool WPW10248240 Temperature Switch - AppliancePartsPros.com
Here is the replacement part number.
