Could you please be more elaborate on the "dial?" I'm not sure I know what you are talking about.

on the front of the timer there is a round dial that clicks when you turn it.

Ok, I replaced the defrost timer and everything was going well until today. The freezer is still freezing up and had to defrost today. What else could be my problem??.Thanx
