Hi Rebecca,

Before we will proceed further I would like to make sure everything was done right.

There are 9 terminals total in the J1 plug. One of the meter probes should be connected to the terminal 5 which is actually right in the middle. The second meter probe should be connected to the terminal #1 where the blue/red wire is connected to. The terminal #2 is not used in your refrigerator and there is no an ywire should be connected to this terminal.

The meter should be set on the highest possible scale for these tests.

If you are going to redo it then you have to measure the temperature in the fresh food compartment again.

Gene.

Gene - i noticed that my entire mother board is upside down. so, the j1 is under the plug and so i plugged into #5 and #1 and got a reading. J1 008 and J2 0. the term is 50.

thanks,
Rebecca

This AM, frig temp 42, freezer -2. the air flow in the freezer seems strong, but, the frig weak in comparison. could the thermistat in the frig be off?

thanks for any input you might have!

Gene - i tried a test this AM that i saw on you tube. i put the frig thermistor in a cup of ice water to determine if it was working. the temp on the digital display read 27, but, the free standing thermometer read 42. So, can i assume from this that the thermistor is working? the fan is not coming on and i imagine it won't until the temp gets higher.

thoughts?
thanks so much!
Rebecca

Gene - do you all sell the end cap that holds the wire connection? What makes you think this needs to be replaced?

thanks -
Rebecca

I"m not sure which part did you mean. You can review the parts list by clicking on the link I posted for you on the first page.

This recommendation based on the test results you posted.
