agitator starts immediately at the same time the tub begins to fill. It used to fill with water first. Also when the spin cycle is finished it adds water and then shuts off - leaving the clothes wet.

All of that is controlled by the timer. Try changing it out and see if that does not fix things.

Hello, I am having this exact same problem. Did replacing the timer solve it for you?
