MtlCanadien, I would love to get a copy of that letter. A repair guy came and it just cost me $401 to replace the board. I just find it so hard to believe that its recalled in the US and not here. My email is robleggett@rogers.comThanks for the help

I have a GE PFS22SISBSS, Serial number TH049933. The freezer doesn't sstay cold. The control board has a label containing
WKKT 0158-04-03
GEA 200D4860G015 3305DG
and on the circuit card
GECP DOM EBX1069P005.
The condenser fan doesn't turn. There is no significant voltage on the main board connector that has four wires with the same color combination as on the fan, which I assume is the connector for the fan.
Is the problem the control board or more likely something else? Is this board covered by GE warranty?

Hi, I just replaced the main control board in my PFS22SBSBSS due to the constantly clicking relay. One of the 400v capacitors was quite swollen.
Now the condenser fan is running and the compressor will kick in and hum (run?) for about 15s every few minutes. The fridge had been at room temperature for about 12h.
My question is, how do I ensure the compressor is working properly so I don't damage the new main control board?

The worst thing is that this part is on GE backorder with no ETA what means it can be a few weeks or even months before it will be available. Hi Gene, thanks for your advice. It was in fact the start device. I had a technician in to look at it. He installed a good used part from his toolbag from a bad compressor.

Our GE refrigerator Model GSH25JSRFFSS began having a clicking noise coming from the back of the refrigerator today. In addition, the ice and water dispenser does not dispense any water or ice. The ice maker, however, is producing ice. It would seem the clicking noise and the faulty dispenser must be related since both issues started today. The refrigerator and freezer compartments seem to be working fine. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong?

I woke up today to the infamous clicking noise on my GE refrigerator.
Model #GDS20SBSBSS Serial # TL053203
Can you tell me if the control board is covered under a GE warranty?
I purchased this in Feb 2007.
