I had this same problem back in April but the dealer talked me into bringing the microwave in as the parts were covered under warranty. At that time he replaced the magnetron, capacitor and diode. Now I have the same problem again but I can't keep taking it back to the dealer as I will soon have the price of a new microwave. When I checked the diode I do not receive a reading in either direction even on 20M setting. Checking the capacitor I receive a momentary reading on a 2M setting. Also, checking from both terminals to the capacitor case, I read infinity. Checking the magnetron from terminal to terminal, I have a reading of .6 ohm on a meter setting of 200. Checking from terminal to the case of the magnetron, I have infinity. Checking the transformer on a 200 setting, I have .4 ohm from terminal to terminal wires that attach to the magnetron. On the primary winding I have a .6 ohm on a 200 setting. From the red and black wire that goes to the capacitor to ground I have a reading of 92.2 ohm on a 200 setting. Any feedback you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
