I need to replace the lid switch on my series 90 washer. The consol has two screws in the front (at an angle). I had removed these but still cannot figure out how to get the consol off and get the top of the machine off to access the switch.

There should be 2 clips, one on each side about 2 inches from the corners. You can use a putty knife to release these and raise the lid.

Remove the screws, pull console foward 1/2" and rotate over backwards, remove the 3 wire connector to the lid switch, remove the 2 GOLD colored clips, Tilt cabinet foward and slide off the washer.:)

There does not appear to be any clips there. As I look at it there are plastic somethings at each corner.

Hi Glen,

These clips are #6 on the break down diagram. Insert a flat screwdriver into the front edge of the clip and pry back.

- The part number for the lid switch is AP3094500
