Hi, I have a Whirpool Gold Series dishwasher that is just over 2 years old. The dishwasher will fill with water just fine, but it won't always start to wash. You can hear it clicking when the wash cycle should be kicking in but it won't do anything. The timer display will continue to go down as though it's running through the cycle. You can hear clicking as it goes through the cycle but nothing is happening. If you hit the cancel/drain button it drains. At first we thought it was a pump or inlet valve problem, but it doesn't always act up. Sometimes it will run through a cycle just fine with no problems. We had a repair guy out and he thought it was the switch so we replaced that and it seemed to work for a bit but has started acting up again. It almost seems like it's an electrical short. Just odd that it will work most of the time.
