Is the plastic nut at the bottom of the drum left or right thread. need to replace tub bearing.

It is an aluminum alloy nut, left hand thread. I use the special spanner wrench to get it off. The web site www.applianceaid.com has info for this. Also, you must replace the seal, there is a groove in the tranny to facilitate driving the old bearing out with a punch.
